PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING TRAINING OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL CIDB LEVEL 1 – 2 GB/CE CONTRACTORS:
The Department of Transport and Public Works as part of their EPWP Contractor Development Programme will now recruit candidates/contractors for our 10 month Structured Training Programme, scheduled to start in September 2018 until June 2019. The final schedule will be posted to qualified contractors in due time. Find attached an application form if you are interested to apply. We will draw up a long list of candidates from the application forms and continue to shortlist the final candidates after we have received sufficient responses.
The training will be for ten months, one block week per month. So in reality it will be 10 weeks. The training will be accredited and will have a theoretical and practical component. Candidates will have to attend all ten weeks to qualify for a Certificate of Competence. NB* you must be willing and available to spend one week per month away from your family or business at the training venue.
The training will be held at one central venue and the Department will provide transport and accommodation for those who are chosen for the programme. We will confirm the details of the venue at a later stage.
Closing date for applications is Wednesday 25 July 2018.
(Please take note that dates of training is subject to change due to availability of training venues. The final dates will be communicated to successful candidates once it is finalised)
All applications should be accompanied by a certified ID doc, a CV and latest qualifications. Please also note, that if you are accepted to attend the programme you will be required to bring with; your original qualifications and identity documents on the first day of training.
