BITOU MAYOR PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE TRADITIONAL MUSIC DJ SABA MBIXANE

Tributes have been pouring in from around South Africa following news of Saba Mbixane’s death.

Bitou Municipality Executive Mayor expressed condolences to the Mbixane Family and Umhlobo Wenene, saying this iconic traditional music radio DJ should be celebrated.

He described Mbixane as a nation builder and a powerful radio presenter with excellence; he continued and further said “indeed he was an entertainer of all to young and old due to his exceptional prowess in broadcasting. Above and beyond that, Saba Mbixane was an ambassador for our cultural heritage, as he played a huge role in promoting cultural heritage.”

Saba Mbixane was dedicated to changing the lives of young people through traditional music, as he groomed young people to this fraternity of traditional music, especially the in the rural communities.
