COUNCIL HELPS DISABLED

The disability Unit identified 25 beneficiaries, who really needed Wheelchairs in the greater Plettenberg Bay. The Eden District Municipality supported the idea and donated 9 wheelchairs, and then Bitou Municipality bought the other 16 wheelchairs.

A function was held at the Dunes Resort by former Executive Mayor Alderman Mvimbi to hand over the wheelchairs to the beneficiaries; but due to other commitments not all 25 beneficiaries attended the function. A decision was then taken to distribute the remaining wheelchairs to the beneficiaries in their respective areas that included Kranshoek, Witterdrift, New Horizons and Kwanokuthula.
