DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH HOSTS BREAST CANCER TESTING AND TALK SHOW IN BITOU

Department of Health in conjunction with Health System Trust, That’s it Testing Centre and Bitou Municipality organized  Breast cancer testing and talk show on 24 October 2014 at New Horizon in Plettenberg bay.

Health department initiated this project to create an awareness of breast cancer, to allow the ladies to celebrate womanhood by giving nutritional and beauty tips to enhance longevity, educate women about the usage of female condoms and to explain hormone replacement treatment for breast cancer.

Sister Robby, from the Department of health in her address said that “this talk show serves as an excellent platform to address breast cancer and ultimately people must start to seriously support government health care initiatives.”

Cllr Elaine Paulse encouraged the attendees to change, and further elaborated that “in every difficult situations that you find yourself in never lose hope just be positive and tell yourself that this situation will change”.
