The costs for resources are considered hefty, however the incident could have easily escalated and resulted in loss of numerous homes through area surrounding to potentially Ebenezer, New Horizons, Pine Trees and Qolweni/Bosiesgif, and fire spreading and developing to Green Valley Community. It could have easily been in the Millions of Rands in loss and damage, not to mention potential life loss.
Fortunately, the resources were available and the costs are seen as a small percentage of what could have developed into a disaster.Last published 04 February 2019
