HAPPY 104TH BIRTHDAY TO ELIZABETH ‘OUMA BET’ MOODIE

The Executive Mayor of Bitou Municipality Cllr Memory Booysen gave his well wishes for health, love and a long fruitful life to the eldest resident of our town Pletetnberg Bay.
Ouma Bet turned 104 years old on 10th September 2014.

On the day it was evident that she is loved and adored by all, as friends and family gathered around to celebrate this joyous occasion with her. All those present wanted to wish her a happy birthday and the children showcased their delight of being part of this by doing some traditional Griekwasong and dance for her and with an ever so evident smile on her face we could tell that “Ouma Bet” was thankful and enjoyed all the attention.

Ouma Bet had 11 children of whom8 are still alive, 50 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.

“Ouma Bet may God grant you your heart’s desire and may you have a long and healthy life, thank you for having invited and accepting us into your home” – said Mayor Booysen.
