Municipal Notice No: 180/2020

All residents within the jurisdiction of Bitou Municipality are hereby invited to register on the Indigent benefit/subsidy database for the 2020/21 financial year. The application process will be open from 01 July 2020 until 31 May 2021.

APPLICATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE FOLLOWING STATIONS

• Kwanokuthula Community Hall
• New Horizons Community Hall
• Kranshoek Housing office
• The Crags / Kurland office
• Green Valley Community Hall
• Office 55, Melville’s Corner

Applications must be accompanied by the following documents

• Certified copies of identity documents of all occupants;
• The latest municipal account;
• Certified documentary proof of household income,
• Affidavit declaring lack of income/proof of registration as unemployed plus 3 months bank statement. Particulars of any other grants/income received by the accountholder;
• Recent pre-paid electricity token.

The household income threshold for receiving the indigent benefit is R3 500.00
