Bitou Municipality Electrical and Mechanical Department developed a Policy on Electrical Infrastructure. The objective of this document is to ensure the proper maintenance of the Electricity infrastructure assets of the municipality as captured in the Asset Register of Bitou Municipality and benchmark the maintenance management approach of Bitou Municipality in the relevant Government guidelines. The policy will only apply to the ongoing maintenance of infrastructure assets, and excludes any capital renewal expenditure.
This notification serves to inform the public of the Policy on Electrical Infrastructure and provide them the opportunity to comment as part of the Public Participation Process.
Full particulars of the proposed Policies are available for inspection under the “News” section on Bitou Municipality’s website (www.bitou.gov.za). Alternatively, during office hours at the Bitou Local Municipality, Division: Engineering Services, Electrical & Mechanical Department, 17 Marine Drive, Plettenberg Bay, 6600. Copies are also available at all public libraries in the municipal area.
