On Thursday the 18th of July 2013, some of the staff from the Community Services Department spent some time revamping the Mandela Park on the N2 at New Horizons outside Plettenberg Bay.
Some new trees were planted and a few old or dead trees were replaced, bringing the total number of tress at Mandela Park to 95+2.
A number of people participated including Councillor Paulse, seen below planting a tree with the Head of Department for Community Services, Monde Stratu.
A new wooden gate with the inscription MADIBA 95 was also installed.
It is envisaged that the park will be upgraded into a modern park in the MTREF ending 2016.
