Motor registration and licensing office
Operations within this office will commence on Monday 01 June 2020 as stipulated. Only a limited number of the public will be permitted inside the venue in accordance with social distancing prescriptions. All types of transactions pertaining to Motor registration and licensing will be available to the public. An attendance register must be completed by all members of the public whom visit the office (completed to the fullest)
Driving License Testing Centre
Unless due to unforeseen circumstances, operations within this section will commence on Monday 08 June 2020. Only a limited number of the public will be permitted inside the venue in accordance with social distancing prescriptions.
The services that will be made available to the public is as follows:
1. Collection of Driving Licenses
2. Renewal of Driving Licenses
3. Application for PRDP
No new applications for Learners License or Driving License tests will be entertained until such time that the backlog caused by the lockdown has been cleared. It will be published on the municipal website when new applications will begin.
The members of public whom had dates during the lockdown period, for either Learners License or driving tests, will be informed telephonically with regards to new dates and the dates will also be advertised.
The following arrangements pertaining to the operation of the center will be as follows:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; points 1-3 will apply (Collection of Driving Licenses, Renewal of Driving Licenses and PRDP applications)
Tuesdays and Thursdays will be only for Learner License test and driving tests for the applicants whom had dates scheduled during the lockdown period.
Points 2-3 will not be entertained on a Tuesday and Thursday (Renewal of Driving Licenses and PRDP applications). This practice will continue until such time we can revert back to normal operations.
Please note that only members of public whose driving license is expired or is about to expire within the month of June will be assisted.
