The Western Cape Department of Agriculture offers opportunities to 30 unemployed rural matriculants 

This initiative targets: Thirty (30) unemployed rural youth with matric, from the following rural areas identified:

 • Cape Winelands District Municipality 

• Central Karoo District Municipality 

• Garden Route District Municipality 

• Overberg District Municipality

 •West Coast District Municipality

 Closing date for all applications: 15 December 2025

Applicants must be South African citizens residing in the Western Cape. 

• Applicants must have completed grade 12 in the Western Cape.

 • Learners currently in grade 12 may apply but will only be considered if they pass the final examinations. • Applicants from the areas mentioned will receive preference. 

• Females and persons with a disability are encouraged to apply. 

• Youth (18 –24 years) may apply for the Matric Internships. 

• Applicants must be entering an internship/developmental programme in government for the first time.
