QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

● Trade Certificate (Electrical) ● 1-2 years’ experience in the electricity reticulation/distribution field.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

● Proficiency in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape (read, write and speak) ● Ability to follow short term instructions ● Ability to be closely supervised ● Ability to easily perform observable actions ● Required to work in all weather conditions ● Work outside normal working hours, on standby, during emergencies and planned overtime.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Performs activities associated with construction and installations of medium / low voltage electrical networks ● Performs activities and sequences associated with maintaining the functionality of medium/ low voltage electrical reticulation and lighting systems ● Cleans worksites, stores equipment and tools and loads materials prior to departure from work site.
