● Relevant Qualification in Waste Management or equivalent NQF 5 ● 3 years relevant supervisory experience
● Computer literate. ●Valid code C1 driver’s license with a valid PrDP. ● Good human relations, interpersonal and communication skills ● Ability to give attention to detail ● High level of responsibility● Ability to work under pressure ● Proficiency in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape (read, write and speak) ● Required to work outside normal working hours, during emergencies and planned overtime.
● Monitors and controls procedural applications associated with the street cleaning operations ● Interacting with the Waste Control Officer to establish and confirm priorities and, transporting personnel to specific sites ● Evaluating and correcting deviations or non compliance with safety zand standard operating procedures and/ or incidents ● Resolving service relateddisputes/ conflicts with the general public, informing the immediate supervisor or concerns/ issues or attending to routine complaints● Ensure that an effective, equitable, safe and legal service is rendered ● Supervise al subordinates, directly and indirectly, within the weighbridge, drop-off, transfer and waste disposal facilities ● responsible for the operation of high quality landfill/ dumping site ● Responsible for the removal of dead animals in public places and maintenance of the de-composition. ● Coordinate specific administrative and reporting requirements associated with the key performance indicators of the function.
