● Grade 12 ● 2-5 years’ relevant experience
● Computer literacy (MS Office Applications) ●Proficiency in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape (read, write and speak) ● Good human relations, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills ● High level of responsibility ● Ability to work under pressure ● Performs complex administrative functions which requires specialized knowledge ● Operates under limited supervision
● Perform maintenance, recording and identification of assets on the asset register ●Codes assets in terms of Generally Recognised Accounting Practise and related policies and procedures ●Compile asset transfer registers and ensures that the transfers are captured on the financial management system ●Monitor and ensure the removal of redundant movable assets from different locations to stores for safekeeping ● Assist with annual asset survey processes ●Assist both Accountants: Immovable Assets and Moveable Assets with asset related tasks ● Update, maintain and reconcile the insurance claim register ● Liaise with insurance brokers, members of public and other role players regarding insurance claims progress and finalisation ● Assist with borrowing-, lease- and retention fee registers according to specific accounting, legislative and internal procedures associated with its recognition and redemption ● Provide general office and administrative support.
