NOTICE NUMBER: 311/2020

Notice is hereby given,  in terms of Section 21A (1) (c) of the Municipal Systems Act (Act No. 32 of 2000) which prescribes that all documents that must be made public by a municipality in terms of a requirement of this Act, the Municipal Finance Management Act or other applicable legislation, must be conveyed to the local community by notifying the local community in accordance with section 21, of the place, including the website address, where detailed particulars concerning the documents can be obtained.

On Friday the 30 October 2020, Council adopted the 1st Adjustments Budget for the 2020/2021 Financial Year. This resolution (C/2/194/10/20) gives effect to section 21A of the Municipal Systems Act (Act 32, of 2000), read together with section 26 of the Municipal Budget Reporting Regulation and section 28 of the Municipal Finance Management Act, Act 56 of 2003.

Please Note, that due to the novel Corona Virus, Covid -19, pandemic, measures had to be put in place to stop the spread of the virus and to minimize its impact on society. Government put various COVID – 19 regulations in place. It is required that these Covid -19 regulations be strictly enforced and that everyone adhere to it.  Due to these regulations, copies of the 2020 /2021 Adjustment Budget Documents will be published on the Bitou Municipality’s website that can be accessed on www.bitou.gov.za. These will not be circulated to the different municipal offices, as it has been the norm before the outbreak of Covid-19
