* B.Comm Degree or equivalent (NQF Level 6);* Municipal Minimum Competency Level Certificate (MMCL);* Substantial years (3-4 years) experience;* Code B driving license;* Compliance with the relevant Minimum Competency Levels for Financial Officials as prescribed will be an added advantage;* Must have knowledge of tariffs, policies, by-laws and the Municipal Property Rates Act;* Computer literacy (MS Office Applications);* Proficiency in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape, Good management, human relations, interpersonal and communication skills, Analytical skills, Ability to give attention to detail, High level of responsibility;* Ability to work under pressure.
FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Coordinating and controlling the activities related to the updating of the financial system with regards to deed of sale information, Completion Certificates Information, Rezoning of even Information, Interim Debt raising information, Sewerage and refuse removal charges and Notifications of Alterations such as Subdivisions, Consolidations and Departure of erven;* Preparing statistical reports depicting short to medium term revenue trends inclusive of explanations to support specific deviations; * Interacting with the internal/ external auditors and makes available information and supporting documentation;* Analysing debit accounts and ensuring that corrective action are taken to rectify any anomalies.
Candidates must be willing to be subjected to an interview and evaluation process and be aware that previous employers and references may be contacted and their qualifications, credit record may be verified and they will be subjected to a police security clearance.
