QUALIFICATIONS: Tertiary qualification in Risk Management/Accounting/Auditing or equivalent NQF6 • 3 years’ experience in Risk Management
REQUIREMENTS Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Valid Driver’s License • Understanding of Risk Management principles • Must be able to communicate in at least two of the three official Provincial languages • Effective organizing and administrative skills • Understanding of National Treasury Risk Management Framework • Good communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills • Professional report writing skills
ADDED ADVANTAGE: Compliance with the applicable Municipal Minimum Competency Levels for Financial Officials as prescribed
FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides support to the immediate superior in respect of specific administrative tasks, planning and practical execution associated with risk, compliance, business continuity management and fraud detection programs, investigations and prevention initiatives • Attends to risk identification and assessment processes • Assists with the monitoring of all risk mitigating projects • Educates and trains staff and business associates on the risk management program and their respective responsibilities in carrying out the risk management program • Assists, facilitates and advises departments in designing risk management and business continuity management programs within their own departments • Attends, with attention to detail, to the administrative recording, reporting and recordkeeping requirements/procedures and deadlines pertaining to the functionality • Compiles, prepares and presents reports containing information, facts, statistics, recommendations, analyses of trends, research, policy, legal or technical issues•. Keeps abreast of developments, emerging trends and latest technologies in the profession and shares these on various internal and external platforms.
