Bitou Municipality will host a sustainable agriculture investment conference in May- this is one way that the Executive is putting Bitou on a global stage. 

The investment conference has a sharp focus on current and future infrastructure projects. The conference will be held on the 23rd of May at the Beacon Island Hotel- one Plettenberg Bay’s illustrious venue. 

Bitou Executive Mayor, Councillor Claude Terblanche, announced the conference at the council meeting on Tuesday, 30 April. Mayor Terblanche also announced that keynote address for the evening will be given by Minister Sihle Zikalala who is the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure. 

He said the conference aimed at bringing industry leaders, stakeholders, investors to showcase current and future infrastructure projects geared towards sustainable development in the area. 

At the council said :“the conference will be putting Bitou Municipality on a global stage.” 

“A few development projects will be showcased to attract developers and a few business alike reminding them that Bitou Municipality is open for business.”
