Basic Adult Education ● Relevant experience in a similar environment will be an added advantage

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

● Must be able to communicate in at least two (2) of the three (3) official languages of the Western Cape ● Must be prepared to be hands on ● Must be physically sound and healthy ●Willing to work in inclement weather conditions ● Must be responsible, disciplined and able to work in a team environment ●Ability to give attention to detail. ● Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

● Perform general labouring activities associated with maintenance and planting of gardens, lawns and trees at municipal buildings, sport grounds, parks, cemeteries, along roads, on sidewalks and on parking areas and assist with weed eradication in accordance with laid down instructions supporting acceptable standards of service delivery ● Attends to the storage and care of cleaning equipment • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines (Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993).
