Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 29 A of Local Government: Municipal Structures Act, No 117 of 1998 (Act 117 of 1998) that the Special Council meeting of the Bitou Municipality is scheduled for Tuesday, 11 August 2026 at 12h00 in the Bitou Council Chambers.

Comments are hereby invited from interested and affected parties on the proposed utilisation of erf 4911 Plettenberg Bay (situated in Kwanokuthula, next to the existing public clinic and SAPS offices), owned by the Western Cape Provincial Government, for the potential establishment of a District Hospital by the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness (possibly in conjunction with the existing public clinic abutting the site). Comments on the proposal are to be submitted in writing to the Spatial Planner, Mr.

Comments are hereby invited from interested and affected parties on the proposed utilisation of the Kwanokuthula “Buffer Strip” (erf 4512 & RE/4513 Plettenberg Bay), owned by Bitou Municipality, to develop a state housing project. Such project will consist of roughly the following: 428 residential erven; 2 church erven; 1 creche erf; 1 business erf; 1 local authority erf; 7 public open space erven; and 2 street erven.

INTERRUPTION OF WATER SUPPLY IN PLETTENBERG BAY:

Kindly note that the water supply will be interrupted on the date and time as indicated below. This interruption is necessary for planned maintenance work to be carried out to install a connection at the Keurbooms Lagoon Caravan Park.
