Kranshoek Community: Services were suspended yesterday, September 11,  due to inclement weather. The service resumes today.

Plett South: There is a delay in refuse collection but currently under way.

As per the requirements set in terms of the Western Cape Land Administration Act, No. 6 of 1998 (WCLAA), attached herewith are copies of advertisements to let the following property:

Vacant land approximately 1.7132ha in extent and an old school building of approximately 227m2 in extent, situated on farm 427/5, Knysna RD (Harkerville). Western Cape.

The purpose of this Notice is to inform Bitou Municipal Communities of the below mentioned planned Integrated Human Settlements Open Days as set out below for each area.

Residents are encouraged to bring their identity document for registration and to update information on the database system.

Organizations and or bodies who qualify for financial assistance in terms of the criteria and prescriptions contained in Bitou Municipality’s Grant-in-Aid Policy and Section 67 of the Municipal Financial Management Act 2003, are hereby invited to submit proposals for programs they endeavor to undertake during calendar year 2023.

Bitou Municipality herewith invites all interested informal traders to apply for Seasonal Informal Trading permits for the period 1 December 2023 to 30 April 2024, for scheduled sites along the coastal areas.

The new tender specification for the collection of recyclable waste within the Bitou Municipal area is currently in process and has reached the first of three stages of bid committees to consider the award.

In order to cover the interim period, the municipality advertised a Request for Quotations (RFQ). Unfortunately, all bids received exceeded the maximum threshold as allowed by the municipality`s Supply Chain Management policy. The RFQ will now be re-advertised, and the finalisation of this process will be prioritised.

Notice is hereby given to all customers with overdue service accounts that the Bitou municipality has appointed the below listed four (4) Debt Collection Companies to assist the municipality to collect all overdue amounts on rates and services accounts.

Notice is hereby given that the Bitou municipality has appointed CAB Holdings (Pty) Ltd for the printing and distribution of municipal accounts, notices and newsletters for a period starting 1 July 2023 and ending 30 June 2026. BITOU LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

The Level one (Moderate) drought restrictions currently implemented will be upgraded to Level Two with effect from 3 April 2023, in line with Bitou Municipality’s Drought Management Policy to manage and prevent the increased risk in the possibility of water shortages. This intervention is triggered mainly due to the level of the Roodefontein dam dropping to below 66% and below average rainfall experienced and expected in the region.

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) invites registered arts and culture organisations and institutions, artists groups, individuals involved in artistic expressions and arts and culture events companies to submit their online applications for project funding for the 2023/24 financial year. All applicants must be South African citizens based in the Western Cape. Outcomes need to be clearly articulated as this will weigh heavily on whether project is to be supported or not.
