Responsibilities of role: 

● Fieldworkers will be issued with capturing devices to collect and/or verify owner/occupant, property, and infrastructure details at properties in the different suburbs and towns in the Bitou Municipal area 

● Fieldworkers are expected to capture accurate information during a door-to-door survey to properties.

The supply, delivery, installation, training and commissioning of the most optimal prepaid electricity vending system solution for electricity STS meters, including a cloud based back-end, billing system integration and distributed 3rd party 24-hour vending and revenue protection services, offered by the tenderer within the framework and performance specifications as detailed in this document for a Period Ending 30 June 2027.

Council embarked on a revenue enhancement initiative to ensure that the various service charges, as set out in Council’s approved tariffs and charges schedule, are correctly levied to all categories of users in accordance with the relevant policies, by-laws, and legislation. 

The revenue enhancement initiative will see to it that all categories of properties are treated equally and fairly by ensuring that Council’s approved tariffs for the respective financial years are correctly applied. 

Bitou Municipality in collaboration with Garden Route Skills Mecca will host a capacity-building workshop on the 29th of September 2023 for all current and emerging training providers in the Bitou municipal area. 

The workshop will focus on the new landscape of occupational qualifications as being developed by The Quality Council For Trades and Occupations.

Organizations and or bodies who qualify for financial assistance in terms of the criteria and prescriptions contained in Bitou Municipality’s Grant-in-Aid Policy and Section 67 of the Municipal Financial Management Act 2003, are hereby invited to submit proposals for programs they endeavor to undertake during calendar year 2023.
